Spring Citywide Events to enjoy

With Earth Day, Easter and the very kid-coveted Spring Break, you might be asking yourself, what celebrations can I take advantage of?  From tree plantings to egg hunts, there is surely something for everyone this Spring! Here are a few fun events you might want to enjoy in your city in the next coming weeks:

SAN CARLOS: MARCH 23: Movie Meet-Up at the San Carlos Library. The movie Monster House will be shown at 2 p.m. for those who are out of school early that Wednesday!

MARCH 25: Inflatable Sumo Wrestling for youth ages 10 -17 at the Youth Center from 3 – 6 p.m.

MARCH 26: Bunny Hop Breakfast: Pre-order tickets for this delicious pancake breakfast with a magician, crafting and more! Location to be determined but more information can be found by calling the Adult Community Center at 650-802-4384

MAY 15-17: Get ready for HOMETOWN DAYS!

BELMONT: ANY GIVEN SUNDAY: Come check out Belmont’s famed year-round Farmer’s Market. Fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, flowers and more are available every Sunday at the South Caltrain Parking Lot at El Camino Real in Belmont from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

APRIL 1: First Friday Flicks at the Belmont Library featuring Shaun the Sheep Movie. This moving will be shown to any age child at 7 p.m. at the Belmont Library.

APRIL 23: Earth Day Celebration, 9 a.m. to noon, Twin Pines Park. Come and enjoy a day of everything green – from free compost to E-waste drop offs and book recycling, come on out to Twin Pines for a day of Earth loving. There will be kids booths, environmental and informational booths, giveaways and more!

BURLINGAME: APRIL 3: Burlingame History Museum located at the Burlingame Train Station will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. featuring a new exhibit, “The Rise and Fall of Pacific City – the Coney Island of the West,” as well as local exhibit “Duck and Cover – Civil Defense in Burlingame. Donations encouraged.

MAY 7: Come on down and participate in the Burlingame Parks and Recreation Foundation’s Bocce Ball Tournament. Teams of 4-6 players will compete. Act fast, only 16 teams will be accepted. SAN MATEO: MARCH 12-26: Hop on over to Hillsdale Mall for photos with the Easter Bunny! Times available throughout the day.

MARCH 26: San Mateo is celebrating its 39th Annual Eggstravaganza at Central Park! Attend the larges egg hunt around. Pancake breakfast begins at 9 and the fun lasts until 1 p.m. For more information, https://www.eventbrite.com/e/39th-annual-eggstravaganza-tickets-20957045086

APRIL 8: Friday Night Fun at the Movies! See the Peanuts movie with other families at San Mateo’s King Center from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Fun is free!
