Summer Concert Series

The sun is out and the weather is warm – it’s the perfect time to join your neighbors and head to one of your city’s summer concert series. These summer get-togethers bring about not only a strong sense of community but also a time to enjoy the fresh air and your local parks, too! 

Belmont: 

The Belmont Park Boosters presents a free, family-friendly Summer Concert Series in Twin Pines Park in Belmont. The season starts in mid-June and runs for seven consecutive Sundays, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each week features a wide variety of music by local bands. Snacks and drinks are available for sale, and the hat is passed at intermission to help defray the costs of the bands. So, bring your blanket and lawn chair to come and hear some fresh sounds from the local scene in Belmont! 

Burlingame: 

Come on out to Music in the Park in Burlingame this summer. Sponsored by the Burlingame Parks and Recreation Department along with Veolia Water, the free concerts will take place on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Washington Park near the recreation center patio at 850 Burlingame Ave. Beer, wine and food is available for purchase at each of the shows, so bring your chairs and blankets and grab a seat on the lawn to listen to some great music this summer. Here’s the Burlingame line up:

July 9: The Houserockers, Rock n’ Roll/ Soul

July 16: Tasche Band, Motown/ R&B

July 23: The Blackouts, 80s Dance Party

July 30: Mania! Beatles Tribute Band

* In August, enjoy one of three free movie nights in Washington Park as well. On Aug. 11, Finding Dory; Aug. 25, The Secret Life of Pets; Sept. 15, Moana. A concession stand will be selling popcorn and cotton candy during the movie.

Foster City:

All are welcome to come and enjoy music on Friday nights at the waterfront Leo Ryan Park Amphitheater beginning in mid-July. Come and see a variety of local music! Check out the list of performers:

San Carlos:

Burton Park is bumpin’ each Friday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. beginning on July 7 and running through Aug. 11. But even the littlest concertgoers can enjoy two Saturday afternoon kiddie concerts at Burton Park this year! This Saturday, June 24 and again on Aug. 19, you can pack a lunch and grab a lawn seat to hear energetic sounds from Hullabaloo (June 24) and Alison Faith Levy (Aug. 19) beginning at 10 a.m.

Come and get your groove on at San Mateo’s Central Park every Thursday night of summer! Bring your low-back chair and blanket and come join the fun beginning this Thursday, June 22 through Aug. 17. Each concert begins at 6 p.m. Parking is free downtown after 6 p.m. so come and enjoy the fun! Here is a look at the music lineup for San Mateo:
