One week from Saturday, more than 70,000 people will descend on San Carlos to experience the city’s 29th Annual Art and Wine Faire.

This year’s premiere fall festival takes place Oct. 7 and 8.

And we’ll be there serving up fun! Dwell Realtors will be beverage sponsors, so we hope that all of our clients and friends stop on by!

This event is truly like no other! The faire is one of the best on the Peninsula, with hundreds of booths lining Laurel Street and San Carlos Avenue in downtown San Carlos.  This year, among the slew of beautiful artisan treasures, clothing, toys, jewelry, pottery and paintings, will be even more delectable food and a large selection of delicious drinks.

Devil’s Canyon and Sierra Nevada breweries will be serving up more than eight different types of beer and our city’s ever-expanding boutique wineries will be offering delicious drinks as well. You can choose bubbly, white or red this year, and a host of cocktails too, with Longboard offering a margarita bar, Moscow Mules and more! And if you like your drinks unleaded, Jamba Juice will be there, along with many other non-alcohol options.

Food choices include amazing offerings including Cajun catfish, Argentinean cuisine, waffles, island noodles, kettle corn, turkey legs, shaved ice, hot wings and salads. There is truly something for every foodie at this event, so bring your appetite! If you can’t find a vendor to satisfy a craving, you can simply try one of San Carlos’ amazing restaurants, which line Laurel Street.

Entertainment will be in full effect as well. A classic car and hot rod show will be held both days and two stages will feature music bands all day beginning at 11 and going around the clock until closing at 6 p.m. on Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday.

Teens and kids will have a lot to choose from, as well, with the popular Family Fun Zone. The zone will feature sand art, costumes, crafts, tattoos, braiding and face painting. There will even be entertainment for kids, including local dance troupes, Andy Z and puppet shows.

All are welcome to enjoy all the fun this great event offers, but unfortunately, there are no pets allowed, so leave your furry friends at home. And it might be better to walk or ride, as construction has already reduced parking downtown.

We will be out in full effect and hope to see you there!  This annual event is one of our favorites, as it is a huge kick off to another festive holiday season!
